- Ascension St. Vincent Sports Concussion Alliance is offering free ImPACT Baseline Concussion Testing for athletes ages 10 and older. ImPACT testing is a computer-based evaluation used for sport-related concussions. A baseline test helps establish an athlete’s normal cognitive function before a head injury occurs. If an athlete later suffers a concussion, the baseline score can be compared to a post-concussion test to help determine when they are ready to return to normal activities. Baseline tests are valid for two years. Event Details: Date: Thursday, August 13 Time: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM Testing Times: Every 30 minutes beginning at 3:00 PM Cost: Free Who: Athletes ages 10 and older Location: Ascension St. Vincent Center for Advanced Medicine Building 901 St. Marys Drive Located on the northwest side of the hospital, opposite the main entrance.
